During the COVID-19 pandemic, most of these schools in Tomaszow county used Google Workspace for Education to cope with everyday teaching from distance, but it seems that now, after COVID-19 is almost over, they struggle to support a learning environment that is infused by digital technology in a meaningful way. Educators either use the platform to a to a very limited extent or do not use it at all, and most importantly - school managers do not drive change implementing the functionalities of cloud platforms into everyday school life.. It might seem that after returning to school, teachers will want to use their technological experience acquired through distance teaching in classroom teaching. Unfortunately, the reality turned out to be completely different. Tomaszów Mazowieckie county is a typical region in central Poland inhabited by about 116 000 people. The seat of the county is the city of Tomaszów Mazowiecki. There are 39 primary and 10 secondary schools in the poviat, employing about 3,000 teachers. Teachers are not interested in using technology in the classroom, nor are they willing to continue to improve in this direction. Recently, I interviewed Mrs. Barbara Sudak, who is the Educational Director of the entire County. The Director drew my attention to several factors that are responsible for this state of affairs. First of all, teachers' earnings are small and there are no legal solutions that would motivate teachers to develop further. When I mentioned my challenge, I would like all teachers in Mazowieckie County to pass the Google Certified Educator Level 1 exam. I made her understand that I would make their work easier and positively impact their professional future. He replied that there are no such educational, motivational or legal tools to do this.
