Challenge
Technology is constantly evolving and teachers are struggling. They are simply not persevering with technology as it changes. In the classroom, they attempt to use technology to make learning real. But are struggling with the application and relevance of the types of technology, for which purpose to use it and as such, it is not implemented within the curriculum effectively. In todays world digital technologies should be as much a part of the learning journey as literacy and numeracy. As a school community, we are constantly discussing the need to extend high-potential students and raise the middle. Data collected shows that our high-potential students are not making expected growth whereas struggling students are achieving beyond. It matters because all students have the potential to achieve beyond expected growth and have the capacity to become design thinkers, but they need teachers to join them on this journey.
