Challenge

With the advent of the cloud, technology is being democratised at an exponential rate. In Google's cloud platform alone there are over 200 applications, each with its own potential to empower people and revolutionise the way in which they learn, collaborate, work and share. However, there is very little visibility or understanding of this potential in our schools. The move to serverless applications means that anyone can sign in and start building tools that focus on the problem they are trying to solve or the solution want to provide rather than the technology that underpins it. The rise of AI and ML is increasing automation in the development process and in the applications themselves. With all of this potential available, can we imagine a world where students routinely use Google Cloud Platform tools to support their own and others' learning, and if so, what would we do to enable this?
