Technology is forever changing; when I studied education, never did I think that I would find myself leading the use of technology. From working in a school where money was tight; I knew I had to find apps that allowed students to be creative. However now overloaded with so many different apps that only do a few things rather than everything. In my time at two schools working with about 250 teachers I’ve always heard, “I don’t have time to find the best app to use for my subject” and this is still a problem today. Teachers have either stopped using technology because of this or find one app that works and are hesitant to try anything else. If we want teachers to truly embrace and utilise the technology out there to provide students with meaningful and engaging lessons that transform the way students learn, then this needs to change.
