Challenge
In Australia, indigenous students are at a great risk of falling behind in the classroom setting. Programme for International Student Assessment shows Australian Indigenous students are 2-3 years behind non-Indigenous peers in schooling. One of the most powerful tools to reduce the risk of indigenous students from falling behind is Personalised Learning Pathways (PLP). In most schools, a PLP's process is offline, paper based, non transferable between schools, difficult to track student progress and time consuming for all involved. In my experience, this has limited students in setting meaningful and long term learning goals and has impacted on their opportunities to achieve their full potential as learners
