Challenge
The Arab world seems to have forgotten its great scientific achievements from the past, which impacted the entire world. Innovation should not necessarily be borrowed from the outside, it should be encouraged and nurtured from the inside. The UAE has ambitious plans for missions to Mars (including building a city on the planet by 2117), space exploration and astronaut programs. While they work on these objectives, they need to educate the future generations of engineers, scientists and astronauts. How can education on space exploration happen in this region in an exciting manner? How can confidence be built within the hearts and minds of Arab youth? How can the scientific and engineering breakthroughs that are happening in UAE's space agencies and authorities be translated into educational programs? This matters, as space exploration is the future and because it can provide the Arab youth the belief that they can innovate...once again.
