As a Google Certified Trainer I have the opportunity to chat with a lot of teachers who claim that soft skills are undervalued in the curriculum or non existent at all. As a teacher, I have found tons of situations in which students cannot deal with contexts where other types of abilities -different from those academic ones- are required. Both teachers and students feel frustrated, clumsy and completely out of their comfort zone. I would like to empower teachers and students to avoid reluctancy when including those abilities in their classroom. I would like to find a way to motivate teachers and students into using soft skills as a way to become active participants in their classroom, first, and then as adults in the real world.
