Challenge: Newly qualified teachers have a lot learn quickly! The first year of teaching is one of the most challenging, but also one of the most memorable because there are lots of things to learn. It would be great after completing the year 1 NQT process they chose to stay in our city, and how can we best support them when they are here? Why it matters?: Aberdeen is a great place to live and teach. Our schools needs teachers, and our children and young people need innovative, forward thinking educators to lead them.
