At Suffolk New College, we have multiple systems that contain data about students. For example we have a register system (EBS), a tutorial/pastoral system (ProMonitor), Google Classroom for formative and summative grades, and individual Google sheets for more detailed formative tracking. To get a full picture of a student’s progress you need to access all four of these systems. It can be difficult for teachers, progress tutors and students to fully understand the progress being made and interventions required. It would be much simpler if they were streamlined in some way. Therefore I feel the challenge we face is managing this data so staff can support students with timely interventions. An additional challenge is the time that it takes members of staff to search all of these systems for various bits of information.Also, when manually inputting information it often has to be duplicated across the systems.
