I have found Google for Education to be an invaluable tool in my classroom. Through the Level 1 and Level 2 certification course, I learned all different tips and tricks for using the different Google Applications. I work in a 1:1 grade 7 classroom and as teachers of this current generation of students, we make assumptions that all our students know how to use a computer and therefore know how to use Google applications. However, there is so much my students have no idea how to do. I constantly watch my student struggle to insert images into a slide, change the formatting on a doc or even find their own documents on Drive. My students end up spending most of their time struggling to use the tool and not completing the task at hand. I want my students to be able to seamlessly use the tools while completing the assignment.
