Challenge
Data-driven instruction is indispensable to individualized, targeted classroom instruction. Many teachers in our district are spending much of their time compiling data but do not have sufficient time to apply meaningful analysis that benefits students. Many teachers are using data binders and printed data due to the lack of confidence in navigating the maze of data analysis tools. It pains me to work alongside teachers working so hard when there must be a more streamlined and efficient way to provide each student with purposeful, differentiated instruction. Increasing the efficiency of data analysis through technology integration will benefit teachers everywhere by providing more time for teachers to use that data for differentiation. Improving student data analysis could be advantageous to teachers worldwide as a vehicle for data-driven instruction.
