Challenge
During this uncertain time in education, many teachers have found themselves desperately seeking easy-to-implement ideas and strategies that they can quickly use to move traditional learning environments to a remote or online learning community. Teachers of all grades, content areas, and experience levels have found themselves struggling to meet the needs of their learners and continue to teach their curriculum in this time of uncertainty. With the issue of equity at the forefront of discussions about distance/remote learning, many schools around the world grappled with how to hold students accountable and encourage them to continue learning without the ability to grade assignments and activities or assess students' knowledge. When students realized that the work they were doing wouldn't "count," so to speak, many stopped doing the work.
