In Australia the largest group of people who are at risk of low literacy and numeracy are Aboriginal Australians. My challenge is to bring our ways of thinking, doing and seeing to the forefront of education to not only support our students, but our teachers. We have done it this way for 60, 000 years and it works. Most teachers in Australia struggle to work in this space because it wasn't taught in schools and these ways work for everyone, regardless of race. Pairing it with it with technology means that the culture will take the next step and stay alive, be it languages, art, music or community as well as giving Aboriginal people the opportunity to explore another frontier of learning.
