The Student Design Project is a framework that helps students identify design opportunities in their community and take meaningful action. When schools adopt the framework, what results is a student-created collection of design opportunities in the community. Using this collection of ideas, learning can then be focused around design opportunities that matter to students. To empower students, they must have voice and choice in how they can contribute to community improvement. By adopting the framework, schools can truly make their community a better place through a student-centered approach to design.
