Sick At School is an effort to raise awareness for the chronically ill students in your class, and their special academic and socio-emotional needs. Professional development was provided at school, district, state, and national conferences to increase empathy for this often-overlooked student group. Methods of using tech to bridge home, school, and hospital were featured such as video conferencing, collaborative documents, and google classroom.
