G Suite has had a large uptake in our MAT and across the country, which has given me the opportunity to support many excellent colleagues. Teachers use these platforms well, often without realising the effect it can have on pace. I believe that by fixing this problem, teachers will deliver better lessons using technology every time. As teachers, our focus is amazing learning day in, day out. Through observations and reflections alongside staff using technology, it is clear that sometimes the use of edtech tools can hinder the pace of their lessons, consequently killing engagement in the classroom. The challenge is to make sure that #everysecondcounts during a lesson so that teachers are not wasting a second finding what they need. If I can save students and teachers time in a lesson, I believe the impact that this could have on learning as a whole would be substantial.
