Challenge
A challenge I and many other educators are currently experiencing is being able to provide quick, meaningful, and personalized feedback for our students, particularly in a digital environment. It has been well established that feedback is most meaningful when it is timely; we all know the longer time that passes between students completing the work and students receiving the feedback, the less valuable that feedback will be. This is a common challenge for many educators during the regular school year, but it became even more of a challenge with the sudden transition to distance learning this past March. Since we were not able to see our students on a daily basis, the need for timely and personalized feedback became more important than ever. Moving forward, I know that being able to frequently connect with students and provide them with valuable feedback on their work, whether we are in the physical or digital classroom, will continue to be a top priority for me and many others.
