One of the biggest challenges we face in our trust is disadvantaged students, just like all schools across the world. From the research I have conducted it is disheartening to think that this gap could take a predicted 560 years in the UK to close. As a parent ( whose children were considered as disadvantaged for a short period of time) and an educator I want to be able to do something to close this gap in our generations life time. Technology is a powerful resource and enables students in some areas who may not necessarily get a good education access even greater resources. It is important that strategies are created using Google based upon educational research to help reduce this gap.
