My major challenge is moving kids from writing for a grade from the teacher, to writing for themselves and connecting with authentic audiences. I believe this doesn't always happen in classrooms because it can be overwhelming for teachers and students to figure out where to post their writing. But what if there was a "homebase" where teachers and students could select their purpose of writing and get direction for platforms, hashtags, and audiences for publication? It's not that teachers don't believe in authentic audiences overall, it's just that it can be one more layer to an already stressful and sometimes hectic process. Therefore, the point would be to make it more accessible and easier for authentic audience publication to happen.
