I operate a tech-rich classroom and wish to push all the way to a blended learning environment. Other teachers are also interested and it aligns with our district's goals, ISTE standards and Texas Tech Apps TEKS. The only tech hurdle to this is home internet access. Between our rural setting and the socioeconomic level of our kids, we have a 'perfect storm' that sees more than a third of our families without wired or wireless broadband that supports content creation. Our campuses have fantastic connection but the best many of our kids can do is the wifi at those campuses. We can't do any of the on-demand portions of blended learning in this situation, nor any of the out-of-class collaboration!
