Higher education is an isolative field, though there are many innovative minds out there making impactful change in their institutions. Some of my best ideas come from collaborations with my peers, as their perspective ignites a new vision for me in how I approach my work. I look forward to engaging in collaboration with my peers who speak my technology language, as I believe this can lead to positive change in my work supporting faculty, staff and students at my institution. I believe strongly in faculty creating learning experiences for students that meets and challenges where learners are, and I feel we can leverage our creative knowledge of technology innovations to support faculty to build these experiences. Becoming a Google Certified Innovator would challenge me to think beyond my current capacity, and it will also empower me with the tools, network, and language to actualize innovative change in my institution.
