Challenge

Despite the fact that there are many tools and features for the Google suite of products that provide accommodations for users with disabilities, learners with special needs still need the assistance of others for them to log in and access to these services which have the potential to give means to live on a more equitable basis within the global community in a manner that previously was not possible for them. This can bring issues of privacy, internet safety, and availability since the web accessibility is a key aspect of usage of digital resources. The number of students requiring special education services is steadily increasing and more special education teachers want to utilize these technologies with the easier accessibility for their students to experience more active and independent learning. I want to help students with disability to be more digitally competent and independent.
